This week’s New Music Friday delivers a mix of superstar collaborations, long-awaited albums, and breakout tracks from rising country voices.
From superstar collaborations to bold debuts, this week’s New Music Friday lineup shows no signs of slowing down.
Morgan Wallen kicks things off with a genre-bending remix of “Miami,” recruiting rap heavyweights Lil Wayne and Rick Ross for a fresh spin on the fan favorite. Luke Combs saddles up with his brand-new single “Back in the Saddle,” while Tyler Childers delivers one of the year’s most anticipated albums, Snipe Hunter, produced by Rick Rubin.
Rising stars are making waves too – Ashley Anne and Eli Winders join forces on the heartfelt duet “Fence,” Jay Webb finally drops his gritty debut album Where To Find Me, and Jake Worthington tips his hat to honky-tonk traditions with “My Home’s In Oklahoma.” Whether you’re looking for country storytelling, stadium-ready anthems, or fearless new voices, this week’s releases deliver it all.
Morgan Wallen turns his fan-favorite “Miami” into an even bigger moment today with a brand-new remix featuring Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. First teased during his stadium shows earlier this month, the reimagined version takes the Charlie Handsome-produced ballad and infuses it with hip-hop swagger. It’s an unexpected, genre-crossing collaboration that sees Wallen experimenting in new territory while keeping the heart of the original song intact.
Superstar Luke Combs delivers his brand-new single “Back in the Saddle,” co-written with Dan Isbell and Jonathan Singleton. The track’s accompanying music video – featuring racing legends Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Richard Petty – celebrates grit, determination, and getting back on track. For Combs, filming alongside his heroes was a dream come true, and fans can finally see it unfold today.
Two of country’s most exciting new voices, Ashley Anne and Eli Winders, join forces on “Fence,” out now everywhere. The emotional duet tells the story of a relationship that looks flawless from the outside – white picket fence and all, but is quietly unraveling behind closed doors. Written alongside Aaron Armstrong and Ryan Kohn, the song was born in a Nashville writing room and has been a concept Ashley had been saving since she and Eli first met at a writers’ round over a year ago. The result is a raw, cinematic duet that blends tenderness with heartbreak.
Jake Worthington gives fans the first taste of his upcoming album When I Write The Song (arriving Sept. 12) with the western swing-inspired “My Home's In Oklahoma,” available now. The 2025 Texas Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year nominee leans hard into his honky-tonk roots on this track, full of fiddle, steel, and classic barroom charm. Worthington has described this new record as one that’s true to his gut – music that “wrecks your world or picks up the pieces” and this first single proves it.
Out today, Stephen Day trades in his usual smooth grooves for a classic, pedal-steel-laced country ballad with “Old News.” Co-written with producer Micah Tawlks, Austin Goodloe, and Josie Dunne, the song marks the first release from a companion EP to 2024’s Gold Mine (arriving Sept. 12). With aching guitars and a slow, steady groove, “Old News” is as timeless as it gets, capturing that bittersweet feeling of looking back on a love that’s long since faded.
After building a viral fan base with breakout single “Southern Girl” and more than 500 million career streams, Jay Webb finally unveils his full-length debut Where To Find Me today. Raised between backroads and city streets in Alabama, Webb pours his lived experience into every track on this 10-song project, which swings between rowdy, windows-down anthems and raw, deeply personal ballads. The album tells a complete story of resilience, heartbreak, and everything in between – introducing the world to a rising star who’s here to stay.
Koe Wetzel’s latest single “Surrounded” is a gut-punch of heartbreak and grit. Co-written with Josh Serrato, Ashley Gorley, and Gabe, the song captures the suffocating feeling of being trapped by memories you can’t shake. Blending Wetzel’s signature rock edge with raw, confessional lyrics, “Surrounded” is already a live favorite from his Jim Bob World Tour and now it’s here for fans everywhere.
Multi-platinum artist Jeremy Zucker offers up “surprise!,” a reflective, acoustic-driven ballad out today ahead of his upcoming album Garden State (due Aug. 22). Written as a letter to his younger self, the song encourages patience, faith, and perseverance, with Zucker promising that all the things he once dreamed of – music, love, and escape – are on their way. It’s intimate, stripped back, and full of heart.
Jordan Davis keeps his hot streak alive with “Turn This Truck Around,” another taste of his new album Learn The Hard Way, which drops August 15. Co-written with Devin Dawson, Jake Mitchell, and Josh Thompson, the song captures a moment of reckoning and longing, wrapped up in the warm, laid-back style Davis does best.
Zach John King teams up with Bayker Blankenship for “Life Behind Bars,” a small-town anthem that feels like a Friday night under the stadium lights. Inspired by King’s memories of growing up in Fayetteville, GA, the song puts a fresh spin on a familiar phrase, celebrating the camaraderie and connection that happen after the bar closes down and everyone gathers in the parking lot.
With “Roll Baby,” Ashley Ryan delivers a feel-good anthem tailor-made for open roads. Written with Frank Stopak, Larry McCoy, and Quinn Loggins, the single captures the thrill of a spur-of-the-moment escape with the windows down and the volume up, carried by Ryan’s powerhouse vocals.
Drew Green comes out swinging with “Ammo,” a hard-hitting breakup track that pairs rapid-fire lyrics with a pounding beat. Packed with clever wordplay and unapologetic energy, the song is all about taking a shot – literally and figuratively – and moving forward.
Beloved group Old Dominion honor their late friend Andrew Dorff with “Miss You Man,” a moving ballad from their upcoming sixth studio album Barbara (out Aug. 22). With tender vocals from frontman Matthew Ramsey, the song reflects on the way grief lingers and the quiet ways we hold on to those who have left us.
Rising Nashville star Carter Faith unveils “Bar Star,” a playful, honky-tonk-inspired single that introduces listeners to the world of her debut album Cherry Valley (coming Oct. 3). The song is a cheeky love letter to a barroom regular, and as a bonus, Faith also dropped a surprise track – “Billy Bob Thornton (Worktape)” – alongside the release.
Callum Kerr makes his official debut today with the release of Roots Under Me, a five-song EP produced by Dann and David Huff. The Scottish-born, Texas-raised newcomer pulls from every corner of country music, offering a mix of love songs, drinking anthems, and heartbreak ballads in a project he describes as “a country mixtape with all the essentials.”
It’s a big day for fans of Tyler Childers. The Grammy-nominated Kentucky native returns with Snipe Hunter, his highly anticipated Rick Rubin-produced album. With 13 tracks – including fan favorites “Oneida” and “Nose on the Grindstone” alongside brand-new material – Childers once again proves why he’s one of the most important voices in modern country music.
Fresh off his Grand Ole Opry debut earlier this week, Hudson Westbrook makes good on the promise of that performance with the release of his debut full-length album Texas Forever. The River House Artists/Warner Music Nashville newcomer offers up a project that’s equal parts heartfelt and ambitious, cementing him as a name to watch.
