Jay Webb Finds Strength in Vulnerability on Stirring Album, ‘Where To Find Me’

Jay Webb: “There’s something special about the people who show up for me. When fans say one of my songs has saved their life, I remember every single face.”

Jay Webb isn’t afraid to tell the truth. He never has been – not when he was bouncing between 28 homes before he turned eight, not when he was uploading hundreds of songs from his bedroom as a teenager in Alabama, and certainly not now, as he drops his raw and unfiltered album, Where To Find Me.

“The closer we got to release day, the more nervous I got,” Webb admits. “Not because I wasn’t proud of the music. But because I knew how real it was.”

The 10-track project is a fearless exploration of heartbreak, healing, and the homespun grit that shaped him. With his distinctive rasp and unwavering vocal power, Webb has quickly established himself not only as a promising newcomer but as a genuine storyteller whose work resonates deeply with fans.

“I’ve been through some real stuff – some heavy stuff,” Webb says. “I wanted to write songs that felt like therapy sessions for anyone listening, not just for me. I can’t make music I don’t love. So, I tried to make the kind of record I’d want to listen to. Something that hits hard, but still makes you feel seen.”

That perfect balance between jaw-dropping production and haunting lyricism hits you right away on tracks like “Stoned.” The trap-infused beats and the captivating chorus is destined to knock the wind out of you. Listeners will quickly notice that his vocals are raw, commanding, and meant to be played loud.

“I’m a big fan of ‘Stoned’ and songs that bump,” he said with a beaming smile. “‘Till the Smoke Clears’ is definitely up there. Just sonically, I felt like we tapped into something different.”

He also writes through the lens of others. Growing up, Webb watched his mother endure toxic relationships, and he learned to empathize through observation, a skill that sharpened his songwriting.

“I’ve been with my wife now for 12 years. We met in high school. I haven’t been in a lot of relationships in my life, but my mom has dealt with a lot of less-than-perfect men in her life, and I saw that growing up,” he explained. “So I tap into that when I write relationship songs, and it’s always been a cool way to connect and relate to the fans without me necessarily having to go through that type of thing. I haven’t lived through every kind of heartbreak. But I’ve seen it. And I know how it feels to love someone who’s hurting.”

There are also bursts of light throughout the project. For instance, songs that capture his wild and carefree energy. His buzz-worthy anthem “Worst Behavior” is the most perfect example and could become the soundtrack for summer nights. The tracklist, co-produced with Eddie Eberle, flows like real life itself. In fact, it's his delivery that carries the entire weight of the record. His voice isn’t conventionally polished, and that’s precisely what makes it magnetic.

“I wanted to make something timeless,” Webb told Fandom Daily. “Not something that just sounds good today, or goes viral next week. Something that still feels true ten years from now.”

Raised on Johnny Cash and George Jones, but later inspired by Juice WRLD, Post Malone, and Lil Wayne, Webb lives at the intersection of country, hip-hop, and southern soul. You hear it in the production. You hear it in his stories. And above all, you feel it in his energy. The energy he speaks of is on display at his live shows.

“My shows are like a big hangout with friends,” he says. “We party, we cry, we scream the lyrics. It’s therapy in the loudest way.”

Webb is taking Where To Find Me on the road. The rising country artist is kicking off his headlining Where To Find Me Tour tonight (July 25) in Mobile, Alabama. The tour will take him across the country with a series of electric live shows before wrapping up on November 22, 2025, in Sanford, Florida. Tickets are still available for purchase, here.
